Abstract (EN)

A RESEARCH ON WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR COOPERATIVES OPERATING IN ANKARA Cooperatives are a unity model of which effects are getting stronger due to their roles on regional development. By means of women entrepreneur cooperations which are gathering women labour togrther, not only is the economical and social situationsof them getting higher but also the potential of local people is taking into account in regional development. The purpose of this study is making the current situation of such unites in our country more understandable with an eye to the founding and operation process of women entrepreneur cooperatives. Nineteen members from nine cooperatives attended this study in which qualitative searching method was used. Data was gathered via semi-structured interviews. According to the results of this research, some points like evaluating the women labour in the founding motivation of cooperations, overcoming poverty, gaining more strength socially and economically, supporting the children and the teenagers and making the local area more well-known are coming forward. Cooperatives get support from local management universities and other non-governmental organizations on various topics. It is estimated as essential that management information and skills should be improved to gain endurance on developing products and work, branding, creating a market and educating the members. In addition, It is also needed that the government and local management should offer facilitation on taxes of cooperatives and support the fixed cost.
