Abstract (EN)
IV ABSTRACT Education is defined as the process that changes one's behaviours consciously by his/her way of living. Education process does not take place in school environment only. Because time period which is spent in school is insufficient, activities beyond school become more important. As one of those activities, homework is the studies performed by students without supervision of teachers in home, library or study rooms. This study is done to determine the opinions of teachers, students and their parents who are from the textile-ready made clothing department of vocational high schools, about the homework. The goals of the teachers expected from homework, the policies that they implement, the opinions of students and parents are searched. Homeworks from textile courses and the other courses are compared. Data for the study are collected by using surveys prepared for teachers, students and parents. These surveys are carried out in the textile-ready clothing departments of six vocational high schools in Ankara. Data obtained statistically analyzed by using SPSS software. Those analysis include frequency tables, cross tables and chi-square tests for searching the relationship between variables. As a result, it is concluded that every group has a positive approach and ready to cooperate on the subject of homeworks. At the end, researcher proposes some suggestions to make homeworks more effective.
