The research was designed with descriptive and relational survey models. Students' future expectations and self-efficacy levels, with the correlational survey model; The relationship between these two variables was patterned with the relational screening model. The population of the research consists of a total of 169792 students in total studying in public and private high schools in the central districts of Ankara in the 2021-2022 education year. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 785 students in total out of 552 from public high schools and out of 233 from private high schools. Stratified sampling technique was used in sample selection. The data of the study were collected with the Future Expectations Scale for Adolescents developed by Tuncer (2011), and the Self-Efficacy Scale for Youth, developed by Muris (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Telef and Karaca (2012) for validity and reliability. The Analyzes showed that self-efficacy and future expectation did not show a significant difference in terms of school, number of siblings, parental employment status. A significant difference was found in terms of gender variable. It has been determined that the self-efficacy and future expectations of high school students are at a moderate level. It has been observed that there is a moderate, linear positive relationship between students' future expectations and their self-efficacy.
