Özet (EN)

This study has been conducted at the experimental area of the Ankara University Agriculture Faculty Field Crops Department, to investigate the effects of mixture rates of and sowing methods on forage yield yields of crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum L.) and Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum cv. Caramba) mixture under Ankara conditions in 2011-2012 growing years. In the study, the five mixture ratios (75, 50, 25 percentages, plus pure stands of two species) and four sowing methods (mixtures in same rows, alternate rows, perpendicular rows and broadcast seeding) were studied. Field trials were arranged in the complete randomized split plots design with three replications, as sowing method as main plots and mixtures ratios as sub-plots. The following components, such as plant height, botanical compositions, herbage yield, dry matter ratio and yield, crude protein ratio and yield, land equivalent ratio (LER)?s were investigated. As result 25 % Crimson clover + 75 % Italian ryegrass mixture and sowing method in the perpendicular rows were the best treatments in terms of many number of characters studied.
