The Spatial analysis of Gazipaşa Street at the pattern of the old city of Antakya

The city of Antakya and traditional houses of it has been the subject of this thesis. The historical and architectural characteristics of Antakya respect to physical circumtance from Seleucos Period to the nowdays have been explored. The aim of this research, try to have a typhoUcal analysis of traditional Antakya houses. In order to that, Gazipaşa Street was chosen as the case area, as it one of significant street which is connected the avenue of Saray from Ottoman period and the avenue of Kurtuluş from French period. Gazipaşa Street have been investigated in respect to their period of construction, space organizations, characteristics of architectural elements on the traditional houses have been determined.
