Antalya beldibi to demre coastal landscape characterictics

Coastlines stretching all over the world are important regions where nature displays unique beauty and diversity, and where people have chosen them as settlements throughout history. These transition points between sea and land are called coastal landscapes and are places where a fascinating ecosystem and human activities embrace. Coastal landscapes attract attention not only with their natural beauty but also with their historical and cultural significance. In this study, the prominent landscape characters of Antalya, which has an important place in terms of tourism as well as natural and cultural history, between Beldibi and Demre, were evaluated. Antalya's coastal landscape between Beldibi and Demre is a region that displays the unique beauty of the Mediterranean. This coastline stands out with its historical riches, natural beauties, and cultural heritage. Along the coastline starting from Beldibi to Demre, there are uniquely beautiful beaches, sandy and pebbly beaches, pebble beaches, behind-the-shore settlement and tourism, lush green forests surrounding all these and deep blue sea. The coastal region between Antalya Beldibi and Demre has many characters intertwined with the beauties of nature and blended with history and culture. As a result of the study, 10 different landscape character types were identified between Antalya Beldibi to Demre. Within the scope of the study, on-site control of landscape character types was conducted on 18 different sampling areas and an on-site landscape character analysis was conducted with the created landscape character forms. It was observed that there were three main character types along the coast in 18 different sampling areas during field trips. These; Landscape character type number 4 (River and Coastal Beach Formations Landscape Character Type), landscape character type number 5 (Alluvial Coastal Plains and Agricultural Lands Landscape Character Type) and landscape character type number 10 (Coastal Areas and Evergreen-Mixed Forests Landscape Character Type).
