Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical activity levels and emotional states of public health employees, and to review the physical activity levels and emotional states of the employees. In the research, relational scanning model, which is one of the quantitative research models, was used. It consists of a total of 164 participants, 72 men and 92 women working at Antalya Provincial Health Directorate. In order to determine the physical activity levels of the individuals participating in the research, "International Physical Activity Questionnaire" (UFAA), to detect emotional states "Positive-Negative Emotion Scale" (PNDS) and personal information form were used. In the analysis of the data obtained, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Independent Sample t Test, Mann-Whitney U and Bilateral correlation tests were used. As a result of analyzing the data, it was determined that the main reasons for the employees participating in the research are "feeling healthy" and "getting rid of daily stress". There was a significant difference in the moderate, vigorous and total physical activity scores of the employees participating in the study according to genders (p <0,05), there was a significant difference in positive emotion scores by genders (p <0,05), and there was a significant difference in negative emotion scores according to exercise status (p <0,05), there was a positive correlation (r = 0,162, p <0,05) between the participants' positive emotion scores and walking scores, and negative correlation between negative emotion scores and vigorous activity scores (r = -0,164, p <0,01). As a result, It was observed that the individuals participating in the study performed physical activities in order to obtain health and psychological benefits. In addition, it was observed that there was an inverse relationship between vigorous activity and negative affect and working women showed less positive affect than men.
