Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to identify of Lactococcus garvieae strains isolated from sick fish from some trout farms near Antalya province. Also, antibiotic sensivities and Multiple Antibiotic Resistance (MAR) index values of the strains were studied in the study. For this reason, trout farms in Kemer, Korkuteli, Manavgat and Akseki were visited between June and September of 2018. Temperatures of pond water in the farms were changed from 8 °C to 21 °C. In the study, total 30 fish samples which their weights of them were from 180 grams to 350 grams were used. Lethargy, anorexia, darkening of skin color, uni or bilateral exophthalmus, opacification and hemorrhagy in the fish affected by lactococcosis were observed. At necropsy, hemorrhagies in the internal organs, enlargement and darkening of the spleen, hemorrhagy in the liver and ascites were determined. Samples which were taken from the liver, spleen and kidney of the sick fish were inoculated onto Brain Heart Infusion Agar (BHIA). The inoculated Petri dishes were incubated at 25 ± 2 °C for 72 hours. After incubation, phenotypical and molecular diagnostic techniques to the isolated bacterial strains were applied and 75 strains were identified as Lactococcus garvieae. According to the antibiogram tests results, it was found that the all strains were resistance to ampicillin. Sensivity and resistance states of the strains to other antibiotics except ampicillin showed change. Multiple Antibiotic Resistance (MAR) Index values of the strains were found as 0,22; 0,33 and 0,44, respectively.
