Abstract (EN)

Urban areas are the main agglomeration of human society, so in these areas human impact has been led to the serious problems. in order to indicate the effects of human impact and related problems, this study is carried out. Unfortunately, geographical factors influencing the urban ecology are not taken into consideration.Stusy area which is located in the western part of Antalya is not only for agricultural purpose but also touristic place.Boğa watershed basin covering an area of 866 km is the maın torrential basin and the lawland of the basin doveted to agricultural lands.Novvadays, the lover part of the Boğa basin has been converted into touristic plants and settlement area, on the other hand the sand and gravel deposits of the Boğa basin are used for the construction materials, illegally.in the upper part of the basin, most part of the forest areas have been degraded and destroyed due to overgrazing, excessive utilization of forest and coverting into agricultural lands. These activities have been caused serious land degredation.in order to maintain sustainable development for agricultural and tourism activities, lands in the Boğa watershed area should be used according to land capability classification and should be prevented to obtain construction material in the lavvland and torrential area.This study will be gives new idea and approach for urban ecology research.The Key Words: Ecology, Urban Ecology, Boğa Watershed Basin, Antalya, GIS
