Art and literature magazines of Antalya (1920-2020)

Art and literature journals serve as a bridge in conveying literary ideas to the reader. Therefore, they contribute to the development of art and literature, to the formation of literary ideas by providing a certain audience. Journals help poets and writers with certain literary views to convey their works. In this context, a certain artistic perception of the magazines is formed and they continue their publications in this direction. In our literature, we see the tendency to the magazine in the Tanzimat period. The magazine, which was a new communication tool at that time, made a great contribution to the development of novels and storytelling. With the establishment of the Republic, the magazines were used as a tool to adopt the formation of the new regime to the people. Journals that reflect the literary, political and economic situation of the period have a significant value. In this context, in our thesis, the journals Yeni Hayat, Doğu, Çağlayan, Kırkgöz, Türk Akdeniz, Kırkgöz, Kırkmerdiven, İnsan Yazın Düşün, Morca, Mavi Portakal, İnsan Şiir, Bahçe, Nevzuhur and Adalya, which were reached to reflect the art and literature of Antalya, were examined chronologically and the bibliographic classification was created. Each magazine examined was divided into certain literary genres and information about their contents was presented in the thesis. The subjects, artists and literary attitudes of the magazines were determined and their common and individual aspects were revealed in the "Conclusion" part of the thesis. Our thesis, which brings local artists to light, aims to contribute to the follow-up of the literary, political and economic structure of Antalya through magazines.
