Abstract (EN)
What is the Role of Anti-DFS70 Antibodies in Autoimmune and Allergic Diseases and Does it Have a Protective Role in Autoimmune Diseases ? Since the anti-DFS70 antibody was not specific for any disease and was found in many inflammatory conditions other than systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases, especially in allergic diseases and in healthy individuals, its importance in clinical practice has not been fully established. The DFS70 pattern in the ANA IIF assay was initially described in patients with interstitial cystitis. Subsequently, in a wide variety of chronic inflammatory conditions, autoimmune thyroiditis, Vogt-Koyanagi - Harada syndrome (66.7%), atopic dermatitis (30%), cancer, and even a significant proportion of healthy individuals were reported. The typical DFS70 IIF pattern is a unique speckled pattern, distributed throughout the chromatin in the interphase of nucleus and in the metaphase, and changes in appearance according to the density, size and brightness of the spots in the nucleus. The antibody is now referred to as the primary target lens epithelium growth factor (LEDGF), DNA binding transcription coactivator p75. In our study, 30 people in each group, including a total of 180 people, including patients with asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and healthy volunteers, ANA, ENA profile and Anti-DFS70 antibody studied with IIF, Immunoblot and ELISA method and the relationship between these illnesses was analyzed. The aim of this study was to determine whether anti-DFS70 antibody may be positive for asthma, rhinitis or urticaria, especially in patients with allergic discomfort, and negative for other ANA antibody subgroups in these groups and planned to see whether the literature information is reproducible. In our study, DFS70 positivity was significantly higher in patients with SLE disease than in the control group. However, other autoantibodies are positive in the majority of these patients. This is an expected situation for SLE, an autoimmune disease with a polyclonal antibody response. DFS70 antibody positivity was 1 in healthy individuals. However, DFS70 antibody positivity is more positiv urticaria. DFS70 was positive in 5 patients, especially allergic rhinitis. Other autoantibodies were not positive in these patients. This situation is seen parallel to the literature information. Tests with ELISA provide more clinical compliance. There may sometimes be personal differences in the testing of the test by a technician using an immunofluorescent method. Likewise, it can be said that the sensitivity of the immunoblot method is relatively low compared to ELISA in terms of sensitivity and false positive or negative values. Although there is no statistical significance due to the low number of patients, DFS70 positivity is the highest in Allergic Rhinitis patients. In this sense, the anti-DFS70 antibody is in fact compatible with the literature, which can be seen outside the autoimmune disease rather than as a pathological antibody. In this study, similar to the literature, it is important to show that DFS70 antibody positivity can be seen alone, especially in patients with allergic rhinitis compared to completely healthy individuals. it was thought that it would be more beneficial to perform the study in more patients with allergic rhinitis.
