Abstract (EN)
As the cornerstone of Mediterranean civilizations, maritime culture and ships have influenced many aspects of life, including jewelry. Both commercial and military ships are often depicted on jewelry items such as rings, ring stones, and cameos. In this study, a corpus study has been prepared by bringing together previously published jewelry items depicting such ships; in addition, both the technical and period characteristics of the depicted ships have been emphasized, and comparative typological analysis and interpretations with other archaeological objects have been made within the archaeological framework.
