Abstract (EN)

Mevlana is one of the most significant names of Turkish Islamic Mysticism. The influence of Mevlana's thinking and works is experienced througout history. The period in which the researchers of Mevlana lived and their mentality shaped their study content and form. As well as his thoughts and works, the studies on him attracted great attention. Although the researches on him focused mostly on his religious, mystic, phylosophical and literary aspects, the literary works which are based on a plot taking place around him as a fiction character attracted Considerable attention of the reader. This study deals with the use of Mevlana as a postmodern consumption element in Ahmet Umit's Bab-ı Esrar, Elif Şafak's Aşk (The Forty Rules of Love: A Novel of Rumi), Sinan Yagmur's Aşkın Gözyaşları, which achieved a notable sales result in the market.
