Enîs Ferîha and his views in the context of innovation and facilitation in the Arabic language

The 19th and 20th centuries, characterized as the modern period for the Arabic language, brought radical changes in many fields. Undoubtedly, one of these areas was Arabic grammar. As a result, during the modernization process of the Islamic world, the linguistic movements of innovation, simplicity and vitality gained momentum, and Arabic entered a period suitable for the analogy of the Arab spring. Looking at the language of religion from a modernist and non-Muslim perspective, Anīs Farīha made unorthodox interpretations on linguistic issues with reference to linguistics and offered different solutions to the problems. In this context, the aim of this study is to reveal the author's innovative approaches. For example, in the issue of bilingualism, which affects the Arab society in many ways, he proposed a common Arabic dialect that is far from regionalism, and mentioned the necessity of preferring the Latin alphabet instead of the Arabic alphabet. He wanted to classify Arabic grammar on a new logic. This study is qualitative research that analyzes the data on innovation and simplicity in the author's works on linguistic issues using a descriptive method. In addition, this study is original research in terms of revealing the contributions of a linguist who interpreted the innovative approaches in Arabic language with a unique style. The study consists of five chapters in total. In the first chapter, the introduction, the general framework of the study is established. In the second chapter, after giving brief information about the meaning, definition and importance of the concepts of innovation, simplicity and vitality, the process and reasons of the innovation movements in Arabic language are briefly mentioned. The third chapter provides information about Anīs Farīha's life and his prominent works. In the fourth chapter, the author's innovative approaches to linguistic problems are analyzed. In the fifth chapter, the author's proposed solutions in the light of linguistics are analyzed and evaluated. In the conclusion, the echoes of the author's thoughts in the context of innovation in the Arabic language are discussed in terms of applicability, and the clear data obtained by analyzing in the light of evaluations and findings are presented. As a result, it is understood that the author considers it necessary to abandon the classical rules and develop a language written in the Latin alphabet that can adapt to the present day.
