Özet (EN)

Arguements on what form is, has begun with Platon. Platon hasestablished his philosophy and ontology on the ground of `idea?. Aristotle hasthought that Plato?s sights about idea was wrong and so he has criticisedPlato. Aristotle has tried to bring away these faulties in his ontology. In thıscontext, Aristotle has constituted an original opinion about form. Beforeeverything, Aristotle has tried to give meaning form, in this world. We see that, form is so important in Aristıotle?s philosophy just like asin philosophy of Platon. The reason of this is Aristotle?s endeavor accesing togeneral principles. In Aristotle?s opinion, to resolve the problem what being is,before all else it must been to display first principles. In thıs way, alsoknowledge will be possible. Form is the first principle of being for Aristotle. Inthıs way he makes form starting point of his ontology. So Aristotle?s ontologyis close to what form is.Aristotle has adopted realistic position contrary to Platon. He hasn?ttried to create an ideal world. However this realistic position is also realtion toAristotle?s definiton fo form. Then, form is the even esence and realsubstance of being. Therefore, form can not be without being. f it is so, formlose its functionality. Setting out here, we consistently explicated of form?sfunctionality. Because Aristotle?s way of thinking is functionalist. As regardsform, this approach appear again, Functionality of form shows itself inAristotle?s explanation of motion and changing, his setting out of beingclassification and also in his teleology. In Aristotle?s ontology, important of form and its functionalist side isespicially shows itself with being foundation to Aristotle?s teleology. ForAristotle, every substance in the world sustains a goal and it tries to realizedthis goal. The goal which is mentioned here is that to attain of the perfectionof absolute form. Substances realized this goal attaining their own perfection. But substances which has form potentiality, also has matter. And so thesesubstances can not attain to whole perfection .In living things, triying to attain perfection is realized by the mediationof soul. Because soul is the form of body in living things. In these things, soulfulfill different functions in every species. The living thing which has soul, triesto realize its form and how complete it, is going to give high priority in beingclassification and also is going to be realized perfection.
