Investigation of fruit quality changes in 'Aron' Aronya (Aronia Melanocarpa (Michx)) cultivar during storage in differentpackages

In this study, quality changes that occur during storage of fruits of 'Aron' aronia (Aronia melanocarpa (Michx)) variety in different packaging types (control (crate), chalet, and zip-lock bag) at +4°C and 85–95% relative humidity for 6 months were investigated. In the study changes in weight loss, total soluble solids, titratable acidity, pH, fruit flesh firmness, vitamin C content, sensory analysis, disease damage rate and total antioxidant content were investigated. According to the results of the study, differences were observed in all quality parameters depending on the packaging type during storage. The lowest weight loss was found to be 4.92% in the zip-lock bag packaging. While fruit firmness was best preserved with 50.08 Newton and sensory properties were best preserved, with 4.1 in the chalet packaging. The highest quality loss was observed in the control packaging. Vitamin C 148 mg/100g, total antioxidant 62.23 μmol/L and total soluble solid 23.33% were the highest in the control (case) packaging.
