Abstract (EN)
When it comes to the reuse of treated wastewater, whether this water is suitable for its intended use becomes the main issue. Especially in irrigation areas, fruit and vegetable cultivation and irrigation of meadow-pasture areas, a high level of treatment and reliability are required. In order to minimize the negative effects of the treated wastewater, which is planned to be used in irrigated agriculture, on the environment and public health, it is necessary to evaluate the risks arising from the possible pathogens or chemicals that may arise with the use of these waters. In this study, using the results of the analysis of West Wastewater Treatment Plant of Adana Seyhan effluent, its applicability to meadow and pasture areas in the Adana region was compared with reference to the parameters specified in the relevant legislation and regulations, and management strategies were evaluated in detail in terms of all other risks. Keywords: Domestic wastewater, usability of treated wastewater in agricultural irrigation, meadow, pasture
