Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to define the effect of agumeted reality on teachers cancidades' Scientific epistemological belief , misconceptions, about one of socio scientific issues; global warming with augmented reality(AR) and the views of teacher candidates on application. Semi-experimental method was used in the research process. Study group of research consists of 64 teacher candidates(32 experiment group, 32 control group) being educated as 2nd class (Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı) in the school year of 2016-2017.The branches compensated according to dependent variables was appointed, just randomly to experiment and control groups.During the research; augmented reality learning material was used for experiment group, but normal lesson materials(printed materials, animation etc.) were used in the lesson, for control group. As data collection tools, in the quantitative process of research; scientific epistemological belief scale, misconcept test and augmented reality opinion survey were used. But, in qualitative process, data was collected by having half-configurated interviews with teacher candidates. As a result of the research, in the course of experiment and control; while a significant difference was seen in the aggregate amount of 'Traditional Scientific Understanding and Scientifical Epistemological Belief, but not any significant difference was seen for both groups, in the sub-title of 'No Traditional Scientific Understanding'. It was emerged that experiment group(teacher canditates, using agumenty reality - stop motion (AR-SM) learning materials ) was more efficient about solving concept errors than control group(teacher candidates). It was observed that views of teacher candidates were positive for AR learning method. Especially, teacher candidates emphasized that application was generally beneficial for being enjoyable, attractive, motivating, increasing sense of reality, embodying the issue, innovator. According to the results of research; there has been beneficial, efficient learning with AR applications' being used in education about the topic of global warming. On the other hand, there has also been a conclusion that teacher candidates could easily use AR learning material and want to use it again. And so, it will be beneficial to integrate AR applications with teaching of other socioscientific issues.
