Abstract (EN)
Some negative ecological and environmental changes occur in water basins, especially in the upper parts of forested areas, due to many investments such as mining, quarrying, river type hydroelectric power plant facilities and road construction. In addition to the interventions listed above, Borcka Dam Basin (BBH) is also affected by aquaculture in net cages operating in the lake. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the regime and quality of the water reaching the BBH reservoir and the environmental status of the dam lake. In this study, it is tried to answer whether aquaculture facilities in Borcka dam lake have a positive or negative impact on water quality with organic and inorganic wastes and whether they reduce the ecological carrying capacity of the lake. In the study, pH, temperature, total dissolved solids, conductivity, phosphate, nitrite and nitrate Nitrogen values were measured monthly from 7 sampling points between February 2023 and January 2024. Solve for the average at Borcka Dam. solids measured 119 mg/L, pH 8.3, Electrical Conductivity 203 µs/cm, ortho-phosphate 0.09 mg/L, and nitrite nitrogen 0.01 mg/L. Although the production tonnage of the dam, which actually has an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons/year in terms of fish farming in cages, has been reduced to 4,500 tons/year in recent years, according to the results of this study; It was understood that the ecological carrying capacity of Borcka dam lake is much higher than the ecological carrying capacity.
