Özet (EN)

In this study, phsycochemical water quality parameters and 110 pharmaceuticals from variety of drug groups including pain killers (analgesics, anti-inflammatories and antipyretics), antibiotic and antibacterials, heart and blood drugs (β- blokers), hipolipidemics, central nervous system drugs and narcotic drugs were examined at 9 stations, seasonally during the periods of September 2013-August 2014 at the Lower Ceyhan River Basin. Trenholm et al., (2006)'s method were modified and used for the pharmaceutical analysis. Solid phase extraction were applied to the samples using Oasis HLB cartuge (5cc, 600mg), and measured with LC-MS/MS. Quantitative analyses for 33 pharmaceuticals which detected in the water samples, were performed. Water quality according to nitrite concentration was determined as class IV water quality. The highest measured pharmaceutical was caffeine (4880,00 ng/L), which used as indicator of waste water at the surface waters. Other pharmaceuticals were diazepam (374.00 ng/L), ganapentin (355,00 ng/L), lidokaine (48,70 ng/L), etodolac (47.35 ng/L), metoprolol (43.60 ng/L), carbamazapine (24.25 ng/L), diclofenac (17.60 ng/L), flukonazol (15,95 ng/L) respectively. Concentration of other quantitatively measured 25 pharmaceuticals were lower than 15 ng/L. Carbamazepine ve lidokaine were the most frequently detected pharmaceutics in the water.
