Abstract (EN)

One of the main purposes of education is to educate people according to the character, interests and needs of the society in which they live. One of the most important functions of education is to raise cultured individuals who have adopted their social values, integrated with the elements of scientific and technological developments. In this context, education is an indispensable element for the continuity of nations. The concept of value in the Turkish dictionary of the Turkish Language Association; Turkish folk literature is a literature that takes its source from the history, culture, national and spiritual values of our nation. Folk literature products, which take on the task of mirroring the social structure and life, have served as an important bridge in terms of transferring the knowledge and experience of the period in which they were created to the next periods. One of the most important building blocks of Turkish folk literature is the tradition of minstrelsy. This tradition played a guiding role for the people until they came from Central Asia to Anatolia. The minstrels produced works on many subjects that concern the society. Poems are the most important product of minstrel literature. Poems are very useful materials in terms of value transfer compared to other literary genres with their many unique features. In this study, all the poems of Âşık Rahim Sağlam, who grew up in Erzurum and is one of the important representatives of the minstrel tradition, in his poetry book "Dökülenler from the Divan" were examined and it was seen that these poems contain many educational elements. It has been demonstrated with examples that Âşık Rahim Sağlam's poems are quite rich in terms of value transfer.
