Religion and sufism in the Council of Askerî Muhammed

Religion is the overall system that embodying the belief and prayers, and containing information, orders and bans making the person happy in both worlds. Sufism, however, is the order of ways guiding the person about knowing and learning himself. Tha man of Allah tries to reach the level of the perfect human being, and becomes to be the model that helps the others to gain the good characteristics.In our study, religious and sufistic elements in the work Askerî Muhammed Council by one of the Halvetî Dervish order Muhammed Gülaboğlu nick named Askerî are analyzed.Sufism is to reach Allah?s titles and the manifestation of these titles by basing on the religious laws, discharging the heart, referencing the desire and worshipping. You need to pass the love stairs on the way of religion and Sufism to meet Allah. While Askerî Muhammed was teaching the orders and the bans of the religion to the people, he based on the verses of Koran (Allah?s sayings) and the hadith (the sayings of the prophet Muhammed). The poet who does not like fancying the world does not offer to break off the relations with it because the world is full of the manifestations of Allah.The aim of this study is to analyze and show how the religion and Sufism in the poems of sheik and mudarris Askerî Muhammed are perceived by the master of Sufism and how religion and Sufism are approached from the point of view of a Sufi.Key Words: Divan Literature, Askerî Muhammed, Religion, Sufism.
