Abstract (EN)

The study area, contains some of the structural features of the Misis-Andırın fault zone. Main structural element in the region is Aslantaş Fault zone elongated NE-SW of the study area. Western side of Aslantaş Fault zone; late Cretaceous-early Eocene aged Çamlıbel group (Dokuztekne member and Bodrumkale formation) is stiuated, overlain by late Eocene-Oligocene aged Bulgurkaya olistostrom with a tectonic boundary. This unit is overlain by Aquitanian aged Gebenköy formation. All of these units have been drifted on the Aslantaş formation by Sarıkeçili-Karatepe thrust. Thus, Aslantaş formation is situated in the lowermoast part in the study area. In the eastern part of the study area Pliocene age Kadirli formation unconfarmably overlain the Aslantaş formation. Youngest units are represented by Pleistocene age Delihalil Basalts and Quaternary alluviums in the study area.
