Abstract (EN)
The new coronavirus disease has led to the development of many awareness around the world. It has been realized that the efficiency and productivity of health care systems will play a vital role in human life. In this study, the relationship of burnout, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship role of healthcare workers as a result of excessive workload has been investigated. The research consists of health sector employees in State and Private hospitals operating in Antalya. The data obtained from 402 healthcare workers, who were interviewed face to face with healthcare professionals and distributed a questionnaire, were evaluated. As a result of the analysis; It is seen that the dependent variable burnout has positive relationships with the independent variables, excessive workload, and negatively significant relationships with organizational citizenship behavior and job satisfaction. Burnout and its dimensions were considered as the dependent variable, and the effects on the dependent variable were examined by taking excessive workload, organizational citizenship behavior and job satisfaction as independent variables. Excessive workload perceptions positively and significantly affect burnout levels. Excessive workload perceptions positively and significantly affect emotional exhaustion levels. Excessive workload perceptions negatively and significantly affect job satisfaction. Excessive workload perceptions negatively and significantly affect organizational citizenship behaviors. Job satisfaction affects their burnout negatively and significantly. Organizational citizenship behaviors negatively and significantly affect burnout levels. Job satisfaction has a mediating role in the relationship between perceptions of excessive workload and burnout. Organizational citizenship behavior has a mediating role in the relationship between perceptions of excessive workload and burnout.
