Abstract (EN)
Nursing diagnosis directs nursing care, defines goals, and serves as the foundation for nursing interventions. The study assesses nurses' knowledge of nursing diagnosis at Al-Hilla Teaching Hospitals, Iraq. The study is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The study was conducted between 1 June 2022 and 1 September 2022, and 200 samples were selected from Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital, Al-Hilla Teaching Hospital, and Marjan Hospital. A data collection form consisting of two parts was used to collect the study's data. The first part includes six questions about the nurses' demographic characteristics, and the second part includes twenty questions about the diagnostic knowledge of the nurses. The SPSS for Windows 26.0 software suite was used to analyze the research data. Descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage, min-max values, mean, standard deviation), Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal-Wallis H Test and Bonferroni correlation were used in data collection. The study showed There are no statistically significant differences between the nurses' age (p=0.021), gender (p=0.282), marital status (p=0.058), educational level (p=0.161), area of work (p=0.263) and knowledge of the nursing diagnosis. There is a statistically significant difference in years of experience for nurses in terms of their knowledge of nursing diagnoses (p=0.009). The study further demonstrated that nurses had good knowledge of the nursing diagnosis. In the study, it was concluded that the general knowledge level of the participants about nursing diagnoses was good, and there was a significant difference between the nurses' knowledge about nursing diagnoses and their years of experience.
