Abstract (EN)

Environmental sustainability is an issue that attracts attention in the field of civil engineering as well as in many fields. Civil engineering researchers use various wastes as additional or substitute additives in the production of building materials, especially cemented composites, and make significant contributions to environmental sustainability. One of the important wastes that carries environmental risk is glass waste, which represents an average of 6-8% of household waste. Although it is a material that can be recycled, grinding and pulverizing these materials and using them in a cemented composite, which are constantly being investigated for alternative recovery methods, also appears to be an important research area. In this thesis, the change in the resistance performances of concretes containing different proportions of waste glass powder after high temperature was investigated. For this purpose, waste glass powder with a grain distribution of 50 µm and six, respectively, by volume % 5, % 10, % 15, % 20, % 25 and it was replaced with cement in 30% proportions and substituted into mixtures. The physical and mechanical properties of the concretes were determined by performing water absorption, ultrasound transition rate, compressive strength and tensile strength in the cleavage after 28 days of curing on the glass powder-substituted concretes produced. In addition, the produced concrete samples were subjected to high temperatures at 400 OC, 600 OC, 800 OC, respectively, and the compressive strength losses after temperature were examined. As a result, 10% of waste glass powder in concrete production until cement and high temperature resistant material can be used as a substitute to be made by the reduction in the amount of cement reduced the carbon footprint of concrete may be possible greener production was observed.
