Abstract (EN)
As a result of the combustion of coal, various wastes such as fly ash, slag, bottom ash are formed. Waste bottom ash (WBA) represents the coarse solid residue formed at the bottoms of the incinerators. During the storage of these formed bottom ash, the high space requirement and the damage it may cause to the environment by infiltration are important environmental problems. The use of these wastes as cement or sand substitutes in mortar/concrete production with the stabilization/solidification (S/S) method is one of the important subjects studied in recent years. Due to the various environmental effects (greenhouse gases) and cost of cement production, it is important to reduce the use of cement and to determine the materials that can replace it, and also to evaluate the materials that can be substituted for the use of sand, since sand is a natural mineral. With this study, it was aimed to reduce the use of cement and sand, to reduce the storage areas required for the WBAs formed in the Thrace Region, and to ensure that the WBAs can be used for various purposes such as the use of mortar/concrete by replacing certain proportions of cement and sand with the S/S method. . In the results of the study, it was revealed that S/S method and WBA can be used instead of cement and sand in certain proportions. In addition, it was observed that the toxicity values of the mortars produced by the leaching test did not exceed the maximum values.
