It has been aimed the conparison of reosons of imbalance in the distribution of teachers workshop and vocational lesson and general knowledge lesson

Withthis aim the number of teachers working at vocational education faculties, educationfaculties, general high schools, vocational high schools, the number of teachersworking at high schools, the number of students at high schools, the need of teachersat schools, employment of graduates, problems of vocational education have beendetermined and the comparison of reasons of imbalance in the distribution ofteachers? has been made.Ministry of National Education (MNE), vocationaleducation faculties, education faculties, vocational high schools, and general highschools in Turkey comprise the base of the research.General high schools, vocationalschools of MNE, education faculties and vocational education faculties comprise theexemplification of the research.The summary of the findings obtained in theframework of the research is as follows:1-Important legal works have been done tomake teaching a job during the first years of Republic.2-Teacher training institutionswere transferred from MNE to universities in 1982.3-The subjects thought in highschools are divided basically into three parts:-Common Cultural Subjects-Field/Cultural Subjects-Field/Section Selective Subjects4-There are 1338 768students, 71 344 teachers in General Secondary Education in our country.5-Teachingtraining for vocational and technical secondary education in Turkey has beensystematically treated and schools have been founded for this reason.6-Teachersworking at vocational and technical secondary institutions at education faculties.Andare as follows:-Technical education faculties-Vocational education faculties-Tradeand tourism education faculties7-There are 1 252 584 students, 72 373 teachers atvocational and technical high schools.8-Employment, having not been made theanalysis and therefore programme flexibility, having not been provided at vocationaland technical education leads to a gap between the market needs and appliedprogrammes.9-During introduction to the vocational and technical education,guidance and direction can not be realized adequately.
