Abstract (EN)

This study explored the attitudes of university students towards Information and Communication Technology (ICT) enhanced homework assignments in language teaching and learning contexts. During the application period of the study, the participant students were assigned ICT enhanced homework assignments as well as traditional type of homework assignments.To examine the students? attitudes towards ICT enhanced homework assignments at the end of the term, an attitude questionnaire was administered. The items in the questionnaire focused on students? opinions on ICT enhanced homework and were related to the factors of attitudes; cognitive, behavioral and affective. The data were collected through this questionnaire which had been distributed to 85 university students.The cognitive, behavioral and affective factors of attitudes were taken into consideration in order to analyze the overall attitude of the students. Questionnaire results reveal that despite a few difficulties they face, students have positive attitudes towards the use of ICT enhanced homework assignments in language instruction and are aware of the potential of ICT.Key words: Foreign Language Teaching, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), homework, attitude.
