Abstract (EN)
Cooperatives are democratic systems that persons come together to do their work which they can?t do alone. Cooperatives are formed by kinds of groups to serve their needs.There are lots of and kinds of cooperatives in Turkey that have financial problems like insufficient capital and insufficent credit. Because of these financial problems cooperatives can?t develop. If wanting that cooperatives have more powerful and dynamic role in Turkey, these financial problems have to be solved. Cooperative Banking system is constituted such a suggestion to solve these financial problems. Cooperative Banks provide credit to cooperatives. Also this cooperative banking model is managed and founded by cooperatives.In this thesis named that Cooperative Banking System in European Union and Practicability in Turkey is composed three section. In the first section of the thesis gives general information about cooperatives and cooperative banking systems. In the second section it is investigated historical development of cooperative banks. Another important point which examined in the second section is cooperative banking models in the European Union countries. In the last part of the thesis is emphasized if A Bank Of Cooperative in Turkey can be founded in present conditions and cooperative banking model suggestions for Turkey.
