Abstract (EN)
The Reflection of European Union Process on Women's Policies In 1951, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Holland and Italy, came together along with the host country France to form the European Coal and Steel Community which provided a basis for the European Union. Although the community was established based on economics, in the course of time it became a supranatural structure foreseeing the integration of European countries economically, politically, socially and culturally. Its most important diplomacy had been the Enlargement Policy and it became a Community composed of 28 countries. Turkey's European Union Policy started with the country's partnership agreement application in 1959. Under this application, Turkey, in order to adapt the European Union legislation, made regulations in the areas of economics, politics and social policies. These regulations were evaluated by European Union in the Regular Reports. Gender equality, as the common issue for all societies had been one of the most important subjects of the report. Within this context, the Community, in order to provide equality, produced certain solution proposals, drafted various reports and agreements for applicants to comply with. In Turkey, following the conditions constituted after the initiation of the European Union process, regulations were made to adopt these conditions in their legislations and implementation. In the study, the evaluations showed how sufficient the regulations made within the frame of Turkey's regular reports in order to ensure gender equality in terms of implementation and institutional means were.
