Özet (EN)

"Studies on the production of Caucasian whortleberry's (Vaccinium arctostaphylos L.) from Cuttings". Caucasian Whortleberry's (Vaccinium arctostaphylos L.), which can be found naturally distributed on northern parts of our country, production with cuttings was studied. For this purpose; tip of the cuttings of Caucasian whortleberry was covered with wax in order to prevent water loss. These cuttings had two different hormone (IBA, Polysitimulin) on three different dose levels and then planted on six different media with two repeats.Cuttings was rooted for a vegetation period, after rooting cuttings were pulled out to determine effect of hormones and to determine which media gave the best result for rooting on cuttings bycounting the rooted, not rooted (dead), still have potential to root ones. Rooting performance of the Vaccinium arctostaphylos L. cuttings, which had hormone treatment, showed better results of rotting than cuttings with no hormone treatment. According to this, best rooting was on IBA hormone 1000 ppm and 5000 ppm dose application. This is why IBA hormone 1000 ppm and 5000 ppm dose can be suggested to apply on cuttings. Among the medias that Vaccinium arctostaphylos L. cuttings were planted Caucasian whortleberry cuttings showed better rooting performance on perlite, old perlite + peat and peat medias. Best rooting was on perlite media and on chestnut and new perlite+peat media cuttings had not rooting. Results of variance analysis showed that media, hormone and media+hormone relation was confirmed and with Duncan test groups were determined among parameters.Differences between media, hormone, media+hormone parameters was determined with variance analysis which was made with SPSS program. According to results of the study, it was determined that different hormones and different medias significantly effects rooting ability of Vaccinium arctostaphylos L. cuttings.
