Abstract (EN)
SUMMARYDetermination of leafminers (Diptera:Agromyzidae) and their populationdensities, damages and natural enemies on cucumber in greenhouse inAydın.The population changes of the Agromyzids have been monitored in the Central,Sultanhisar and Incirliova towns in Aydın province both in autumn and spring growingperiods in greenhouses in 2004 and 2005. The dominant species and natural enemies ofthe pest were also investigated. In addition, the changings both in macro and microelements amount important in nutrition were determined. The yield values, theinfestation of the pest and the parasitization were compared in the test and controlparcels. As the population of leafminers was examined in species level, the dominancy ofany species has changed regarding to the regions where samplings conducted. Thepopulation levels have reached the peak in may-june and in september-october duringspring and fall growing seasons, respectively. The numbers of larvae on leaves and of adults on sticky traps were evaluated forany relation. As a result, it was found a strong relation in numbers only in Central in2004 and in all greenhouses in 2005.The parasitoids determined in this study were Diglyphus isaea Walker ,Diglyphus crassinervis Erdos and Pnigalio soemius Walker in the family Eulophidaeand Dacnusa soma Nixon ,which was the first record in Turkish fauna, in the familyBraconidae. There was no any braconids found in the fall growing period, and Diglyphusisaea was the dominant species among the all parasitoids. It was estimated that there was a positive correlation between the number oflarvae on the leaves and the Ca value of the leaves. It has been observed that the Caratio has increased positively by increasing larva numbers on the leaves (r= 0.498).The differences in yield between insectiside treated and non-treated parcels werestatistically significant in Sultanhisar in the fall, 2005 (t=2.05; sd=38;P=0.047<0.05).When insecticide-treated and non-treated parcels compared in producerconditions, it has been found that there was an important difference in parasitoitnumbers although the difference in infection rate was non- significant.
