The Research of the historical fabric of the city centre of Aydın

Aydın is in the west of Turkey and placed in Aegean Zone. In the north Izmir and Manisa, in the east Denizli, in the south Muğla, in the west Aegean Sea is limited the city. Because of the geographic position and communication, from Centres Aydın Lands are found in on important place. There isn't definite information about the Centrum of Aydm and first settlement places around the city. First known place is Tralleis which, is one kilometres west of Aydm, set up by Argos and Thrace (Atik, 1996). We have less knowledge about the first centres of Tralleis (Rayet and Thomas, 1997). Tralleis had directed by Traklar, Antigonus, Lysimachas, Pergamon Kingdom, Romans, Byzantine, Menteşe, Aydmoğullan, Ottoman Empire in years. At the and of The First World War was signed The Mondros Pact and occupied by Greece's, Tralleis, escaped from the Greece occupation with The War of Independence on the 7th. September 1922. After The Republic announcement, it had became the city of Turkish Republic. To our date there are less achievements from Tralleis which is the first settlement place and formed the historical tissue of Aydm. In the Centrum, beside the ancient city decades mosques, schools, bridges, merchant, markets, tombs, public bath, fountains, public fountains, shops and buildings which were built in the Ottoman era already exists. It's seen mostly with rates and shapes generally belonging to the building and especially in some building belonging to the every floor. They haven't concerned so much importance to the city guard like country and domestic governments. For hundred years the earthquakes and wars exterminated the city which was hosting buildings from the different cultures. It's also come across with loosing its identity. Because of the slow progress the tissues were deteriorated in the center of Aydm, also lots of buildings were in bad condition. The first step in guarding progress has to be reknowledge the public. Lessons and programs have to be prepared in school in visual and written media. The second stepxm to reknowledge the president as the societies and to clearize the political stuff. To protect the historical building the political benefits and corruption's have to be forgotten and the idea of how to connecting the past generation to the future has to be sovereign. The working progress has to be prepared with this idea. The third step; it has to be identify the activities towards the protection and rebuilding the registered house owners. Some buildings in this region have to be publicised and have to be used in public's benefit.
