Use of lighting technologies in television shoots

Since the beginning of human history, one of the most important features of light, which is one of the most important elements in human life, is the realization of vision. While light is one of our biggest needs in our daily life, it is also of great importance in television shooting, which is the subject of our work. In this study, the definition of light, the technical and general properties of light, the properties of light for television shooting, light sources, lighting technology, the importance, benefits and necessity of lighting, the necessity and importance of lighting for television shooting, types of lighting and the historical development of lighting technology are examined in detail. In addition, measurements were made with some of the lighting sources within TRT and these measurement results were evaluated comparatively. These measurements were made in three different categories, and the categories were determined according to the volume and power consumed by the projectors. In each category, one tungsten halogen, one gas discharge, and one LED projector were used. The illuminance level (luminous illumination-lux) and color temperature values given by the projectors from three meters were compared. In addition, features such as the power consumed per hour of the projectors used, lamp life and efficiency factor (luminous efficiency) were compared. Results are presented in the form of pictures and tables. In the light of this information, the advantages and disadvantages of the projectors used were revealed, and it was determined which type of lighting source should be used in what kind of programs in television shooting.
