Wedding tradition and bridal fashion in Azerbaijan

One of the most important family traditions in the republic of azerbaijan and İran Azerbaijan region is the Azerbaijam wedding tradition. It is multi- stage and is concerned with various obligatory rites and traditions. Old Azerbaijani weddings reflect centuries of traditions and require substantial financial costs. Wedding caremonies, embassy, engagement,henna, religious wedding, wedding engagement dress, henna dress, bridal dress and value traditions of Azerbaijanis are mentioned. Wedding caremonies play an important role in examining the traditional culture, perspective and national spiritual values of the people. Azerbaijanis have managed to preserve the originality of their culture.The original characteristics of the wedding traditions of the Azerbaijani people with an ancient history have been preserved today by adding some elements. In the study, it is concluded that wedding ceremonies constitute ona of the traditional culture of the people, through which the customs and traditions and national spiritual values of the people are transferred over generations.The national spiritual values of the people – religious beliefs, family values, hospitality traditions, label rules, food culture, folklore, music, dances, engagement dresses, henna night dresses, henna night dress models and bridalgowns have beeb reflected in wedding ceremonies. Thus, it gives information about the perspective of the people, the culture, and the development history of the wedding ceremonies. With the first people, marriage began to take place. Although marriage ceremonies differed in different cultures, religions, regions, the purpose was the same. İmportant iner day for humanity; Special clothes were prepared for birth, marriage and death, and this situation continues today. Marriage ceremony , a happy day, setting up a new home, showing off and showing power amnong senior people, separating the bride and groom from those who come to the ceremony, it has been seen in every period that the people to marry try to wear the most beautiful and ostentatious clothes. This special garment has different characteristics from time to time according to the culters. The colors, symbols, accessories usad in clothing according to culteres included different meannings and talismans. In this study, wedding tradition and wedding dress fashion in Azerbijan were investigated. In the study, pre – wedding traditions, henna night, wedding, engagement and traditional clothes were mentioned.
