Abstract (EN)
In this study, the humorous stories of Aziz Nesin who is one of the humorist of Turkish literatüre, and Mir Jalal Paşayev, who is one of the representatives of Azerbaijani literature, will be examined comparatively in terms of subject and language. The aim of the study is to reveal the common themes that Aziz Nesin and Mir Jalal Paşayev to refer in their humorous stories and the similar and different aspects of the humor language they use. Throughout the study, it is aimed to provide a perspective on the way in which the political and social problems experienced in Turkey and Azerbaijan in the 20th century are reflected in literature through humor. Additionally, it is aimed to shed light on the reasons that enable the writers who grew up in two different societies to turn to the humor style. In the study, the data of comparative literature and sociological criticism method were used.
