Abstract (EN)
In this study, petrographic and techmechanical properties of the Babadat (Sivrihisar) region marble was aimed to determine. Marble quarries in the valliaga of Babadat, Sivrihisar District, Eskisehir Province, creates workspace.Samples are mikritik and biyomikritik construction as petrographic and as a result of experiments mechanical properties, flexural strength 103,9 kgf/cm2, impact resistance 19 kgcm/cm3, unixial compressive strength 112,40 MPa, abrasion resistance 6,35 cm3/50 cm2 unit volume weight 2,672 gr/cm3, water abrorption ratio by weight 0,183 %, visible porosity 0,488 % and shore hardness 54,1 % were definedAccording to this, limestone with mikritik and biyomikritik construction can be used in quality as marble.
