Özet (EN)
Purpose: Badminton is a versatile sport consisting of technical and tactical skills, physical, physiological fitness and psychological strength. Due to the complex game structure that includes many skills, it creates great difficulties for players and coaches of all levels during the preparation stage for the competition. For this reason, athletes and coaches resort to different training methods to maximize performance. One of these methods is the life kinetic training method. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of life kinetic training on some coordinative and cognitive abilities in elite badminton players aged 10-14. Material and Method: In this study, a full experimental research model with pre-test post-test control group was used. The study group consists of 20 elite badminton players and a total of 30 people in the same age category, 10 volunteers, without any sports background. Criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used in the selection of the athletes. In order to determine the coordinative abilities of the athletes, flamingo balance, T agility, numbered medicine ball, reaction time and 10 meters speed tests were applied. Badminton players' starting, sustaining, finishing and general attention abilities were measured with the bourdon attention test. IBM SPSS 22 package program was used for data analysis and cases with p<0.05 were considered statistically significant. Results: As a result of the statistical analysis, there was no significant difference in comparisons between and within groups of all groups balance, agility, 10 meter speed, right and left hand auditory, right hand visual and simple reaction times, and orientation ability scores of badminton control group (BCG) and experimental group (EG) (p>0.05).The difference between the orientation ability of the control group (CG) and the experimental group (EG) was found to be significant (p<0.05). There was a significant decrease in the post-test left hand visual reaction times of the BCG and EG compared to the pre-test (p<0.05). When attention skills were examined, significant increases were found in all attention types in EG, in all attention types except attention in termination in BCG, and only in general attention post-test scores in CG (p<0.05). Percentage attention values of EG were found to be significantly higher than CG in all attention types, except for sustained attention values, and also BCG in general attention type (p<0.05).
