A research on the measurement of the financial literacy level of the bank customers

The purpose of the study is to determine the level of financial literacy in the society and the characteristics it carries in the context of bank customers by revealing the components and importance of financial literacy. The study focuses primarily on the concept of financial literacy and evaluates the relationship between financial education and financial literacy. Components of financial literacy are dealt with separately. Finally, emphasis is placed on the importance of financial literacy. Quantitative method was applied in the research conducted within the scope of the study and questionnaire technique was used as data collection technique.The questionnaire used is translated into Turkish by the updated OECD/infe core questionnaire implemented by Cihangir and Gemici (2017).
