Abstract (EN)

The study area is located at Tütün Tepeleri in the Baskil region between Malatya and Elazığ, in the Eastern Tauride Mountains. Mineralization is related to Baskil magmatites intruded by the Late Cretaceous Bilaser Tepe magmatites. In the study area, sodic-calcic alteration, potasic and sericitic alterations were determined. The mineralization was evaluated in terms of Fe-Oxide-Cu-Au (IOCG) deposits by determining the sodic-calcic alteration zone for the first time in this study. The mineralizations in the region are related to the Campanian aged Bilaser Tepe Magmatics, representing divergent environment formed in a post-collisional setting that occured between the calcalkalen in character and I-type, Coniasian-Santonian aged Baskil Granitoid together with laterely formed younger oceanic arc and Taurid platform. These mineralizations are dominant magnetite scatters within the sodic-calsic alterations formed in the diorites with rare magnetite veins. In mineral paragenesis; magnetite, molybdenite, pyrite, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, hematite, malachite and azurite were determined. Ti content in magnetites was measured as 0.13-0.64%. Average Fe is 20.13%. Average formation temperatures as well as salinity of liquid inclusions in quartz minerals are of 320.3oC and 11.32% NaCl. The isotope analysis results of these mineralizations were determined in the range of δ34Spirit = 6-8.9; δ34Sk.pirit = 3.8-5.5; δ18Oquartz= 10.8-13.2 and δD = -37 / -53. When alteration types determined, lithological properties, mineral association, low Ti content in magnetites, main-trace element contents of ore and side rocks, formation temperatures, salinity, δ34S, δ18O and δD isotope values are evaluated together for Tütün Tepeleri mineralizations, it can be concluded that it has a great similarities to Fe-Oxide-Cu-Au (IOCG) deposits in general.
