Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it is aimed to research the visual identity continuity of the printed and numeric editions of magazines and to find out whether or not, or how much they show consistency in these two areas where both published and electronic media exist nowadays. In the study, the development process, electronic publishing varieties and the formats of the printed and electronic media have been researched by literature review. The factors that form the visual identity in printed and electronic magazine design have been researched and five chosen magazines (National Geographic Turkey, Skylife, Harvard Business Review Turkey, Log, Wired Magazine) have been analyzed by logo, style and cover, page setup, typographic decisions and use of color. As a result of this analysis and in the light of the data acquired, a new proposal for design has been offered to Akdeniz'den magazine. Primarily a design language for smartphones has been constituted and this design has been transferred to the printed edition in a form to maintain the visual identity consistent.
