God and divine beings in esoteric (batinid) religious structures

In our study, we have discussed the understanding of God and divine beings of the esoteric sects known as the Batinians in the history of Islamic thought in the context of ancient religions and cultures. Although the Batinid sects in Islam have different views from each other, there are common denominators in the perceptions of God and divine beings. since the historical background is often similar. This study aims to outline to what extent these sects may have been affected by which religions and traditions. The study consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction part, we examined the emergence of the batini doctrine in Islam, the Gulat Shia, the batinid religious structures, and the concepts of batinid epistemology, the theory of shadows (azilla) and the concepts of incarnation (al- hulul) and emergence under the name of key theories to understand their views of the Godhead and metaphysical beings. In the first part, the conceptions of god and divine beings, including the evil understanding of ancient religions and cultures, were examined. In this context, it has been determined that there is an absolute, supreme deity in all of the ancient religions and cultures in question, and various god conceptions have emerged according to the relationship of this deity with the realm. In the second part, the conceptions of god and divine beings of esoteric (batinid) religious structures were examined. In this context, it has been seen that there are absolute transcendentalist god conceptions in general in the mentioned structures. As an extension of this understanding, it has been determined that secondary gods are in the form of performer-active gods.
