Abstract (EN)

The thesis was formed about "Inscriptions of Tombstones of Bayındır Yakapınar Village" as a result of our research at The Cemetery of Bayindir Yakapinar Village. In scope of our research, 190 pcs legends of tombstone were identified and investigated. 7 of the tombstones belong to eighteenth century, 61 of them to nineteenth century, 116 of them the twentieth century. The date of 6 tombstones couldn't be founded. The earliest stage tombstone belongs to year 1191(1777) numbered catalog no: 187, the latest stage tombstone belongs to year 1930 numbered catalog no: 138. 118 of the analyzed 190 tombstones are for male and 72 of them are for female. Floral, geometric and figurative decorations had been used for decoration of tombstones. Acanthus, branches and leaves, tulip, rose motifs had been used for floral decoration, moon and stars in different cornered had ben used for geometric decoration, slippers(the caps decorated with coins at the brow region), dulukçalık (hanging from the cheeks and amulets worn by the women), kemerbest (belt), gun belt, gun, yataghan, watch on chain had been used for figurative decoration. Depiction of the mosque was used only at the tombstone numbered catalog no: 51. Inscriptions of tombstones had written in rik?a, ta?lik and sulus writings.While tombstones for female had been decorated with floral motifs at their sharp arch comb, tombstones for male had generally decorated with fes.
