Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the effects of seven plant activators with different contents (Messenger Gold, ISR 2000, CropSet, Sojall Vitanal, Auxigro, Bioguard, Maxicrop) on the yield and quality of Baccus lettuce. The experiment was conducted in three replications according to the randomized plot design, and 20 seedlings were planted in each replication. The application of plant activators was started 10 days after the seedling planting and applied 3 times at 10-day intervals. The experiment was carried out in two growing periods, November-January (first season) and January-April (second season. At the end of the trail; Chlorophyll amount, head height (cm), plant fresh weight (g/plant), plant dry weight (g/plant), root length (cm), root collar diameter (mm), root fresh weight (g/plant), root dry weight (g/plant), head width (cm), leaf length (cm), leaf width (cm), number of leaves (number/plant), number of marketable leaves (number/plant), pH, dry matter (%), L*, chroma, Hue value, marketable yield (kg/da), total yield (kg/da), average head weight (g/piece), vitamin C (mg/g) and macro-micro nutrient analysis were performed. The effects of plant activators on the development, yield, and quality of lettuce differed depending on the growing season. It was determined that plant activators, control, and chemical fertilizer applications have a statistically significant effect on lettuce head length (cm), average head weight (g), root length (cm), root collar diameter (mm), root fresh weight (g), root dry weight (g), plant fresh weight (g), total yield (kg/da), marketable yield (kg/da), L, pH, SÇKM (%), vitamin C, and macro-micro nutrients. In addition, it was detected that the growing seasons were also an important source of variation, and the effect on all parameters except plant dry weight (g), plant leaf height (cm), Chroma, and Mg content was statistically significant. Auxigro plant activator increased the yield compared to the Chemical application in the November-January season, but in the January-April season when the weather was relatively cold, the Chemical application was more effective and had a higher yield was obtained. The effect of growing seasons on the effectiveness of plant activators was clearly seen in all parameters examined. On the other hand, it was determined that the effect of increasing the vitamin C content and red color intensity of Sojall Vitanal plant activator. It has been concluded that plant activators can be used with different fertilizers in order to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
