Özet (EN)

Controlling insects that damage stored food products is very important. Sitophilus granarius, Tribolium castaneum and Rhysoperta dominica are insects that cause great damage to stored products. In order to control these pests without using artificial chemicals that leave residues in food, research on essential oils has been carried out for a long time. For this purpose, essential oils of Ferula divaricata, Psephellus pulcherrimus and Glaucosciadium cordifolium were used. The essential oils of the plants were obtained by methanol extraction. Contact activity and repellent activity tests were carried out on insects. According to the results, contact activity was generally average or below average. For S. granarius, G. cordifolium showed the highest activity with 44.14% mortality after 72 hours. For T. confusum the results were below average. For R. dominica, all 3 plant species were above average with G. cordifolium and F. divaricata reaching 51.88% and 76.02%, respectively. In the repellent activity tests, results were generally close to average. At 1% concentration, all 3 plant species gave results in the scale 1 and scale 2 ranges at the measured time intervals. More remarkable results were obtained at 5% concentration. While P. pulcherrimus showed 64% repellent effect on T. confusum at the end of 24 hours, F. divaricata showed 38% repellent effect on R. dominica in 12 hours and G. cordifolium showed 44% repellent effect in 3 hours and reached scale 3 values. When all the results are evaluated in general, it is seen that F. divaricata has high contact and repellent activity on R. dominica insects. It was revealed that researches are needed to find the active chemical that shows activity with more detailed studies.
