This study consists of five chapters. The first chapter is designated to historical progress of metric spaces and metrization theorems. The second chapter is devoted to basic definitions and theorems that are used in this study. In the third chapter, basic metrization theorems, Moore spaces and some basic cover properties are explained. The fourth chapter consists of theorems which gives characterizations of metrizable spaces that possess diagonal and diagonal. In the last chapter, theorems related to generalized metric spaces; space, space and spaces take place.
