Özet (EN)
In the 21st century world, the concept of beauty has gained more importance than in the past. The cosmetics sector is one of the most important sectors followed by men and women with what it offers in beauty and care, and hair is one of the important visual factors that come to mind in the name of aesthetics and care. Our aim in this study is to determine the amount of Al, Ca, Fe, Mg, Cd, Mn, Se, Tl, V, As, Co, Na, Hg, Ag, Be, Ni, Pb and Cu metals in the content of 5 types and 40 different brands of hair dye, conditioner, henna, shampoo, soap products, which are highly preferred today, and to interpret statistically whether the analyzes are harmful to human health with the data of WHO health organization. Materials and Methods: For the convenience of the study, the heavy metals to be determined in the samples were divided into two groups.Hair cosmetics were prepared for analysis by wet digestion with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide and microwave oven solubilization method. The accuracy of the method to be applied with SRM 1515 Apple leaf was examined. The Co, Pb, As, Be, Na, V, Cu, Mg, Mn, Ni, Tl, Al, Ca, Cd, Fe, Ag, Se and Hg concentrations of 40 different brands of samples were determined by ICP-MS and the results were statistically interpreted by applying first normality test and then Pearson Correlation Analysis and Sperman Correlation Analysis with SPSS-21 program. Results: Heavy metal analysis by ICP-MS is one of the preferred methods because it is more sensitive and practical for many samples from very small compounds to large molecules. When we examine the results, we see that they are lower than the limit values allowed by the Guideline on Heavy Metal Impurities in Cosmetic Products published by the Ministry of Health. However, again, the analysis results are within the limits permitted by the World Health Organization. Conclusions: We can say that there is no problem in using hair cosmetics, but using them consciously will prevent possible risks.
