Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study was to examine the psychological flexibility, psychological well-being and professional anxiety levels of physical education and other vocational teachers. In the research where the descriptive survey model was used, a total of 395 teachers, 283 of whom were men and 112 of whom were actively working in Diyarbakır Provincial Directorate of National Education and/or affiliated private schools, participated in the study between 2023-2024. In obtaining data in the research; The nine-item "Diagnostic Information Form" developed by the researcher, the "Anxiety Scale for the Teaching Profession" developed by Köklükaya and Yıldırım (2016), the adaptation studies to Turkish culture by Karakuş and Akbay (2020) developed by Francis, Dawson and Golijani-Moghaddam (2016). "Psychological Flexibility Scale" and "Psychological Well-Being Scale", developed by Diener et al., (2009) and adapted to Turkish and whose validity-reliability study was conducted by Telef B. (2011; 2013), were used. Parametric tests were applied because the skewness and kurtosis values of the data showed normal distribution. As a result of the analysis of the research, from the research scales of physical education and other profession teachers: teacher branch, income and education level for psychological well-being; level of education for psychological flexibility; For anxiety about the teaching profession, the difference was found to be significant in terms of years of experience, career stage and education level variables. As a result of the relationship analysis; There is a moderate negative level between teachers' anxiety levels towards the profession and their level of psychological flexibility; a weak negative level between the level of professional anxiety and psychological well-being; A moderate positive relationship was detected between psychological well-being and psychological flexibility. As a result, it was concluded that physical education teachers differ significantly in favor of other professional group teachers in terms of their psychological well-being levels. In addition, it was determined that teachers' anxiety levels towards the profession were significantly negatively related to their psychological well-being and psychological flexibility levels.
