Investigation of the professional attitudes of physical education teacher candidates by meta analysis method

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the professional attitudes of physical education teacher candidates in terms of gender variable by meta-analysis method. Material and Method: In this study, the meta-analysis method based on quantitative research, which includes the systematic synthesis method, was used. In this study, 24 studies on the subject were analyzed. The reliability and cohen grouping of the study was expressed as follows: d=0.20 – 0.50 low level (small), d=0.50 – 0.80 medium level (medium), d=0.80< d high level (large). The research findings were analyzed using the Jamovi Package Program. Results: As a result of the research, when the professional attitudes of the physical education teacher candidates are examined in terms of the gender variable, the professional attitudes of the female teacher candidates have a small effect size compared to the professional attitudes of the male teacher candidates, p<0.05. p>0.05; When the professional attitudes of physical education teacher candidates were examined in terms of the region variable, it was found that the effect size of the regions they lived in did not change the professional attitude scores p>0.05; When the professional attitudes of the physical education teacher candidates were examined in terms of the number of samples and the gender variable of the working year, it was found that there was no moderator of the professional attitude and it did not change the effect size on the professional attitude scores; p>0.05; In the research conducted on physical education teacher candidates, it was determined through moderator variables. Conclusion: As a result of the research, when the professional attitudes of physical education teacher candidates were examined in terms of gender variable, it was determined that the attitudes of female teacher candidates had a small effect size compared to male teacher candidates.
